I had the privilege and opportunity to attend Wesley Girls High School for 7 years. A school where academic excellence amd integrity was the standard and actively cultivated.
The rigor of study that was ingrained during those formative early teenage years have borne great fruit.

Can you recognize anyone in these throw back pictures?
The picture of girls wearing green uniforms in the lab was likely a chemistry class at age 15 or so, in 1986 or 1987 maybe. I easly see Doris Kafui Afanyedey now CEO Yvonne Kumi and Adwoa Nyanin, a Hospitalist Physician. As 15 to 16 year-old-girls we were so determined to be successful career women. Dr. Nyanin and I were good study mates and would spend hours working questions and going through hours of text. Our work ethic still beats my imagination to date.

We passed the West African Examination Council Ordinary Level Examinations "O" levels with Distinction and came back to accept our awards. Those of us in the School cloth were those who had passed with Distinction that year.

Then the last picture is a fun one likely taken on a Saturday of us in sixth form (1988 -1989) pretending to look serious for the photo. One of us, Dr Rita Dickson, third from right in the top row is now a renowned pharmacist and Vice Chancellor of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. Thank God for his Grace and Mercy that got us this far. That same grace keeps us.

We have consistently pursued our dreams. Whatever you set your heart out to do, keep chipping away at it. Be consistent. There is a funny Ga proverb, which translates into the fact that "With consistency even a housefly can fully consume the ears of a dog" These pictures and journeys started almost 40 years ago. There is a power that has carried us.

With consistency a tree can be felled by a small ax. No matter where you are in your career journey, do not grow weary, show up, keep working hard and be consistent and it will pay off.
